The adventure begins...
After Cindy's many months of researching every class of RVs, our adventure officially began in Sarasota, FL on Friday, May 28, 2021. We thought we had found the perfect vehicle for us; it just happened to be a 12-hour drive or a two-hour flight away back in the city where we had spent so much time over the last 25 years. After a one-hour discussion with the previous owner, we purchased two roundtrip tickets to Sarasota, figuring we'd toss the return trip tickets if all worked out and we bought the vehicle. When we arrived at the Concord Airport, we learned we were on the inaugural Allegiant Airline flight from Concord (CLT) to Sarasota. That may be why the roundtrip tickets were less than $100 each. Anticipating the best, we had made advanced reservations at the bank in Sarasota to notarize and transfer the title and a late afternoon appointment at the Florida Tax Collector's Office a.k.a. the Florida DMV to make the deal official and get a temporary tag.
